Goat Farming with Mount Krios

Mount Krios

Mount Krios is an interesting project with a unique road map.

When we were asked to take a look over the Litepaper we were obviously struck by the plan to start a real life goat farm with the proceeds from the NFT sale and wanted to know more.

We chatted with one of the project creators, CryptoSurfer, to find out more.

Tell us a little about Mount Krios, what type of artwork is it, what size drop?

The artwork is inspired by Neo-traditional tattoos which are recognizable for bold lines & saturated colours, with an illustrative style, and the look of dimension without being overly exaggerated. Our Genesis drop consists of 2022 NFTs.

Where did the idea for the project come from?

Mount Krios is a project that is providing real world utility. We are building an NFT project that is directly linked to a thriving goat camp.

Your nft will represent your membership in the operations of the camp.

Your White Paper outlines the plan to create a real life goat farm. What can you tell us about the plan? What is the overall goal for the farm? Do holders benefit at all or have any involvement in the farm?

Our goal with the super camp is to breed the most prestigious Boer goat bloodline in the world.

Following the Mount Krios Genesis mint, proceeds will be utilised to construct, manage and maintain the goat super camp facility.

Purchasing premium quality seed, along with a harem of handpicked doës will be our first order of business. As our flock grows, we will hold periodic sales and auctions where a portion of the herd will be sold while the rest will remain in the camp to continue the blue-chip bloodline.

Once all operating expenses have been settled the remainder of proceeds will be used to fund the community vault.

Our operation is strictly concerned with nurturing healthy, and robust boer goats. We sell our goats to those upcoming farmers looking to start their own flocks, or even to already established farmers who simply wish to upscale their gene pool.

What about the team behind the project? Tell us a bit about the team, what are your background(s) and what has lead you to start this project.

The core team is a group of young and dynamic business owners and NFT enthusiasts. With a pool of diverse skills, our team is the right size, and consists of the right people.

The team lead – The Dot (30) is a serial entrepreneur, surfer, qualified accountant and tax practitioner, with a deep understanding of the financial sector and a passion for decentralisation.

The artist – Kia (23) is a talented tattoo artist, surfer and business owner.

Cryptosurfer (32) Crypto Currency and NFT enthusiast, trader and collector. He is an ardent surfer and avid traveller. He has been trading crypto for 5 years and collecting NFTs for a year now.

Lord Fudge (27) The goat and art admirer who has worked on farms, or in primary industries for most of his life. He is the link between the core team and our farming partners.

Our Farming Partners are world renowned goat breeders with distinguished lineages that boast 11 generations of successful goat breeding.

The project was sparked by a conversation between The Dot and his business partners. The topic of this conversation was that of block chain technology, decentralisation and NFTs. It became apparent that block chain technology had not yet been applied to its full potential nor in real world operations.

We identified the opportunity to bring real world utility to NFTs through our trial and tested business operations. It was Lord Fudge who suggested an elite goat breeding camp which started an extensive proof of concept process with the core team.

Do you have a set in stone roadmap for the future of the project or are you expecting the roadmap to develop with the project? Any plans you do have set in stone?

We pride ourselves on the fact that we are not a speculative project, and that our roadmap is not only achievable, but tried and tested regarding the real world operations.

The pillars of our roadmap are confirmed (The real world operation). The NFT space is continuously advancing, and to be a successful project we need to be adaptable. Any changes to our roadmap would enhance the holder’s experience of what our project has to offer, without affecting the real world goat camp.

What got the team interested in Blockchain and NFT’s?

Decentralisation and the underlying technology that blockchains offer.

The technology solves most of the destructive effects caused by the global bank system over the last portion of history.

Blockchain, crypto and NFTs gives the individual the power to become financially free, independent of any centralised system.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far with this project?

The biggest challenge we have faced so far has been building a profile within the Cardano community. At the moment our community is small and tight knit but we are happy to have attracted a group of people who believe in our vision for this project.

Why did you choose to launch on Cardano?

The passion, as well the ability to see the future potential of projects that the Cardano community shows is something that drew us to cardano. We believe CNFTs are very undervalued compared to other blockchain NFTs. So to launch on Cardano, while in its infancy stage, is going to benefit our project in the long term, as more people realise the true potential of Cardano.

How do you see the NFT space evolving over the next few months?

NFTs are only scratching the surface of their potential. We believe as time passes more projects will start offering real world utility until it becomes the norm. PFP and art projects will always have their place in the space but projects that offer more than just aesthetic value will be the ones that stand the test of time.

What project would you ideally love to do a collaboration with?

The Goat Tribe would be our ideal collaboration partner. We don’t want to be seen as just another goat project. So a collab with them would allow us to differentiate ourselves, while also somehow bringing value to them through our real life goat farm.

Do you guys collect NFT’s too? What’s your favourite?

We are all NFT holders, some of our favourite projects are The Ape Society, Clay Mates, Chilled Kongs, The Goat Tribe, Veggiemates and Mocossi just to name a few.

If you would like to find out more about Mount Krios you can follow them on Twitter or give the Litepaper on their website a read.

Before you leave make sure you check out our calendar to see what projects are dropping.
